Creative anarchy

the anarchy of creativity

this article explains to the reader what some of the rules of graphic design are. the author uses circular reasoning to show that their is rules but their are times that you should and shouldn't follow them but, with that he does bring some good points with him.

as a designer you must be creative but still fit into the clients demand. you must push the acceptable without breaking it. when designers get together we must collaborate to reach a goal but we also need leaders to help us get there. leaders need to help manage projects and help communicate to the group and, all designers need to know how to use programs and understand technology and trends that are happening right now.

Tomato Shadow

My Shadow
I took a image and than duplicated it and transformed it to make a realistic shadow. I used the gradient tool and a Gaussian blur with a feathered edge. i used a tomato because i wanted to do something easier for my first try. i will definitely use this skill for many of my future projects.

My Patterns

Brandon's Pattern

I made a simple pattern that would lock in or appear in a way that looked like that than i used Illustrator to make it a pattern that i could drop into any box or line if i needed to do so.

Stop Hitting Yourself

Stop Hitting Your Self

This bloggers post was about dealing with the stress and creative block that comes with a fast approaching deadline. The blogger suggest four easy solutions that will help with relaxing and allowing your creativity to flow.

    His content/argument

The blogger has a very good argument he talks about a problem that all designers face eventually creative block and stress. He as a graphic designer knows of the troubles that comes with taking on projects and work and he wrote about trying to look at websites to try and get some sort of inspiration and how if you do that it never works. Instead you should woodshed your ideas and really work on it tell you find something you think the client will like. He also mentioned that you will probably never feel like you did your best on a project before you ship it out and that sometimes you might fail but, that is okay.

     His Strengths/Weaknesses

The blogger has a good amount of content and has a nice amount of support for his subject. The blogger repeated himself more than he should have in his text and restated a lot of his content.

      The Roundup

I like the article and think it hits on some important subjects for any up and coming graphic designers. In a nutshell this is a thing for any one that is thinking of working in similar areas of work were the opinion of your client heavily outweighs yours.

My Pencil And Cup

my personal pencil and cup

My Pencil and Personal Creations

My Creations This project was about following simple instructions to make a basic cup and pencil and all of my fellow class mates made the same exact pencil and followed the same instructions as me. To the right is my personal pencil and cup. I made a mechanical pencil and a idea cup. At the bottom of the text i had made a apple keyboard and mouse.

class cup and pencil

My Process I had used the rectangle tool a bunch but once i had a row done i would just select as many as i needed and than i would copy and paste them to make it easier. i used the paint bucket on all of the pencils and cups and the mouse and keyboard. i used the pen to connect the mouse to the keyboard and i used a lot of text boxes to make the symbols and even more shapes for all of the f1s through f12. I used the rounded box tool to make the erasers. The cups were made by direct selecting the bottom of a circle and copying and pasting  it to make the bottom and than using lines to connect the top circle to the bottom half circle.

The Idea of Graphic Design

The Idea Of Graphic Design

Graphic design is a form of communication, its a way of expressing feelings and ideas in the form is a image or billboard or sign. To me creating something should be thought out, and you should consider how people will view it but don't let someone else's opinions stop you. Also on the other side you should value others opinion so that you can grow and develop as a person and a designer.

 my life

As i am pursuing design and animation i am also in band and jazz band. I perform solos in jazz and others opinions really matter to me and i want to show how i feel about the music in my on way but i also want others to enjoy it. i enjoy listening to music and playing it and i also in-joy viewing other peoples creation and giving my opinions on it. being creative and expressing your self is a goal that i have and i like to use it in every day life.

My future

I would like to continue doing animation and graphic design for a job or at least a hobby i don't want it to just fall out and just not be able to do it anymore. i will continue to be creative in all aspects of life every day.

My Final Of Freshman Year

For our finale in e-comm we made a realistic fake product. the product that we made was the SHADO a automatically shading window. I came up with the idea and we started to make the shape of the product and the market for it and what it would cost. we decided that it would need to be manually controlled and that it should be able to be controller from a distance and that you wouldn't need to get up. our product is for leisure and won't steal power from your house and raise your bills it will even cool your house and lower your a.c. bill. i did the animation and made the sketch up model and packaging. i also helped with some of the video and logo and made the banner for our website. The group as a whole voted on our decisions and if it was uncertain we would have a outside opinion vote so we could choose what to do.
